Growing in the Grace of God

Sovereign Grace Chapel began in 1993. It was born when two churches (Sovereign Grace Tabernacle and Grace Chapel) merged making her name Sovereign Grace Chapel. Preaching and teaching the word of God is our main business because we believe this to be the God-ordained means to the salvation of sinners and the edification of the saints. We teach from a variety of topics, but our Sunday morning preaching is mainly verse-by-verse exposition.

Our worship is conservative in style. We feel very strongly that our worship should exalt, honor, and extol the God of the Bible, and that entertainment has no place in the worship service. In every worship service we read from the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith and the word of God. 

We have a plurality of Elders, all holding to the Calvinistic position on Soteriology. We believe that God is sovereign in creation, salvation, and in providence. We believe that He is saving whom He will and that He is upholding, directing, and bringing all things to their intended ends.

The Great Commission is something that we do not take lightly. We support missions locally, in the Caribbean, and in Indonesia. Not only do we support missionaries but we ourselves are committed to the same. We do street preaching, door-to-door evangelism, and distribute clothes and food during the summer months.

We also have a Bible Institute. This is an outreach from our church that welcomes anyone who wants to learn the word of God. This is a one and a half year Bible centered certificate program held on Monday and Tuesday nights at the Chapel. The best part about this program is that it is free. All you need is a willingness to learn.
